I started my working career in the United States Navy Submarine Force, as an Auxiliary Systems Engineer. While I was in the Navy, I earned my Bachelor’s Degree from Old Dominion University in Occupational and Technical Studies. I graduated with Virginia Teaching Certification with endorsements in Technology Education and Computer Science.
After retiring from the Navy, I taught various science and STEM-related courses at two Virginia High Schools. I am a certified Manufacturing and Production teacher and love submarine robotics.
My wife and I are homesteaders on a micro-farm in Madison County where we raise goats, pigs, rabbits, and chickens. We garden and preserve our own food. We are continuously learning about methods to live a more sustainable and healthy lifestyle.
